Donnelle Brooks is a positive and passionate teacher with experience teaching a wide range of instruments, including guitar, vocals, ukulele, and piano. With over 15 years of playing experience, Donnelle is an accomplished guitarist and can teach to an advanced level, specialising in both contemporary and classical styles. She is also an advanced vocalist with a completed Bachelor of Music majoring in vocals from JMC Academy. Over the past four years of her teaching career, Donnelle has also become well versed in teaching music theory, ukulele and piano. 

Outside of teaching, Donnelle is a cultivated singer, songwriter, and musician and is well known as the frontwoman of blues/rock band Don and The Mobsters. Her compositions include mixes of rock and acoustic folk with hints of blues and country. 

Donnelle loves to share her passion for music with her students and encourages creativity and inquiry in her music lessons. She also has a great knowledge and appreciation for music theory and uses fun and engaging methods to pass that knowledge along.

Rowan Evans loved music lessons as a child and it is his ambition to teach and pass on his knowledge to others. In 2009, Rowan obtained his Grade 5 certificate in Speech and Drama from Trinity Guildhall. Soon after, he went on to achieve Grade 6 in Singing from the Australian Music Examinations Board.  

Rowan is also a proficient pianist, having earned his Grade 7 Piano qualification from Trinity Guildhall in 2011. He has recently begun hosting his own independent music podcast, Strategy in Sound. During his segments, Rowan discusses strategies for success in the music industry. 

Teaching runs in Rowan's family and he is currently undertaking study at the University of Queensland to pursue a career in education. Rowan is also working towards his Grade 8 Piano and Grade 7 Singing qualifications.

Hayley Chalmers has been teaching music since 2014 and has taught in several different places across Queensland. Hayley specialises in contemporary vocals and guitar with a Bachelor of Creative Arts, majoring in Contemporary Vocals, from the University of Southern Queensland where she has had the opportunity to study under Dr Melissa Forbes. In addition, Hayley is also well versed in piano, ukulele and music theory. 

In her time as a musician, Hayley has performed at several venues across the Darling Downs, such as Suncorp Stadium and The Empire Theatre, and with high-profile musicians, including Wendy Matthews. Hayley’s repertoire includes songs from a vast array of artists including Katy Perry, Lorde, Nirvana, The Beach Boys, Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan. She is also an active member of the USQ A Capella singing group, The Harmony Wednesdays, and also has a love for musical theatre, where she has been involved in several productions. Previously, Hayley has also participated in choirs, vocal ensembles, orchestras, string ensembles and stage bands. 

Hayley has experience teaching students of all ages. She is encouraging, friendly and helps students set and reach goals.
