Hayley Chalmers has been teaching music since 2014 and has taught in several different places across Queensland. Hayley specialises in contemporary vocals and guitar with a Bachelor of Creative Arts, majoring in Contemporary Vocals, from the University of Southern Queensland where she has had the opportunity to study under Dr Melissa Forbes. In addition, Hayley is also well versed in piano, ukulele and music theory.
In her time as a musician, Hayley has performed at venues across the Darling Downs, such as Suncorp Stadium and The Empire Theatre, and with high-profile musicians, including Wendy Matthews. Hayley’s repertoire includes songs from a vast array of artists including Katy Perry, Lorde, Nirvana, The Beach Boys, Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan. She is also an active member of the USQ A Capella singing group, The Harmony Wednesdays, and also has a love for musical theatre, where she has been involved in several productions. Previously, Hayley has also participated in choirs, vocal ensembles, orchestras, string ensembles and stage bands.
Hayley has experience teaching students of all ages. She is encouraging, friendly and helps students set and reach goals.
